Little Teddy Bear

Eric and Leslie sent this hat for Nik and now it has been handed down to Katerina, I love hand-me-downs, especially when they are sooo cute!

Foot and Mouth

No not the disease, she loves to have her foot in her mouth when I am changing her diaper. I guess the freedom of no diaper, pants or socks allows her to reach her toes for a little chew time. It snowed on Monday but melted the same day and then it snowed on Wednesday night and on Thursday there was so much snow that it came up to the middle of my calf. The snow was different than what I am used too, it wasn't icy snow and if you made a snow ball and threw it it would break up in the air and come down as fluffy snow. It's very hard to describe, but was very interesting. I had to go to the supermarket for milk and it was a great workout since I was making a lot of new tracks, kind of like running of sand. The snow is still here but in smaller amounts, the roads for the most part are clear, they had a bobcat scoop it up. I made pictures and will post them soon, no pictures of Riene in her snow suit (picture "A Christmas Story") but I am sure there will be more chances of fresh snow.

6 months old and cuter than a doll

Our little girl is 6 months old today and what a great day it is. She has her two little teeth on the bottom peeking out and is enjoying eating all kinds of things. She scoots around in her walker and when on the floor she will arch her back and kick her arms and legs like doing the backstroke and this gets her around. She loves laughing at her brother and I think to myself what are you laughing at, but just looking at him makes her happy. I love love love having a little girl to dress up, so much fun.

Baby Kat 4 months old

Here she is in a sweater that Arthur wore 40 years ago, I have a photo of Arthur in this sweater and they look very similar. The Nike pants are from Jon and Kelly and the cute shoe/socks are from Auntie Jeanie all in Texas. Both Kat and I love her little rocker chair that Dad and Rhonda bought, it lets her sit up and look out at the world.
Such beautiful skin.
Always wiggling.
And Talking.
Oops done with this photo shoot!

looking at the past when Nik was 4 months old.

Here's my pretty girl. She's still a baby thank goodness. She loves to Coo and Wiggle. Patience should be her middle name because she is very good at just chillin' while other things are happening around her. Her head control is getting stronger so good things are too come.

Have Escaped

I have escaped the house for a couple of minutes, there is a 40 day rule in Greece were the baby stays at home, she has escaped with me and is now taking a nap in the corner. Here's a picture of me being wheeled into surgery, I was the second scheduled C-section of the day. By the way the surgeon did such a good job with my new scar that I think this will be the final baby for us, already you can tell it will be pretty invisible. They numbed my lower back and legs (a very weird sensation) but otherwise I was awake during the surgery and was able to hear her first cries.
Very first photo op, taken by Arthur while they sewed me up and I recovered the use of my legs about 2 hours. She came in weighing at 3290 gr or 7.25 lbs, not bad for being 2 weeks early and 50 cm or 19.68 inches tall.

IT IS A .......

GIRL
Sorry for the delay

We have known for sure for sure since last Friday when we did this ultrasound, I just haven't had the chance to put a picture up. The due date will not be given until the beginning of May but the doctors tell me that they do C-sections during the 38th week of pregnancy and this means around June 9th. She is healthy and I am healthy, trust me we have done all of the test. p.s. this is a picture of her head for those of you not familiar with ultrasound pictures.

Funny story she was sleeping very soundly during our one hour appointment the doctor even had me get up and walk the hallway, but she didn't move an inch. Arthur and I figured it was because her big brother wasn't around to harass her so we said his name and sure enough she woke right up and turned around to look. The doctor was then able to do the final measurements and check her heart.
