Hello, my name is Mara and I live in Greece, today I get to show you a cute new block called "Pushme & Pullme", previously know as "This Way, That Way" :)
Michele of Facotum of Arts, created this block pattern and asked for a few people to test it out and I was one of the lucky recipients in trying out her new block pattern. Today she is having a small hop so make sure you check everyone else's rendition of the block.
Ashley @ Wasn’t Quilt in a Day
Kristel @ Work-in-Progress Girl
Mara @ Secretly Stitching - you are here.
Sarah @ Sarah Quilts
What did I do with my block you ask, well I can't wait to make a quilt with these blocks, but at this time I could only make something small.
A Fantastic block that is perfect for a boys quilt or the big man in your life. I am so excited to make it that I had to make another.
Check Michele's blog for more inspiration and perhaps a giveaway. The pattern can be found on Craftsy and Etsy.
If you are interested in my making a tutorial for this play mat, just let me know and I will work on one after I get back from my vacation, just in time for you to whip one up for Christmas for that little boy in your life.

A Car Play mat Tote
This is a gift for my nephew who will turn 2 in a few months, on the front is the block pattern and on the back is a zippered pocket with a felt car garage.
Back of tote. |
Inside of the pocket garage. |
Open it up for a road play mat. |
Most of the fabrics used are Riley Blakes Peak Hour and Moda's Road 15 by Sweetwater, the solid is Kona Charcoal (a blue black) and the linen is Robert Kaufman Denim. I did a little embroidery stitching on each square.
Click on it if you want a bigger picture. |
The kids had great fun testing it out.

again unknown Kona blue for the solid and Tula Pink Salt Water for the arrows. |

That's awesome! Nice use of the block. :)
Very cute use of the pattern :-). I did change the pattern to a scant 1/4 inch seam. Nice to see such a fun project.
Oh I have a little man in mind who would really enjoy something just like this for Christmas! Do you have a pattern? I would love to make one!

I have to agree with all these others - this is certainly adorable!
Oh - this looks great with both the boy fabrics and the more adult version! The play mat is awesome and the arrows block really works well with the car thing.
I really love how it looks with the salt water print, though. Wow.
I love this block - your version is fabulous!
What a great idea to make a playmat!

What a cute cute tote!
Oh, I had some of the spaceship fabric that I used on an earlier quilt - loved the colors for a child's project. It worked really well on the push me pull you block.
Great pattern and what a wonderful tote! Lucky kiddos :)
Love the design! Great on the tote too. Cute little testers there too:)
